I had fun gardening at my mom's house today. We put together little terracotta pots of annuals and some perennials and helped get their front porch ready for the summer. The kids played the entire day. I received the cutest cards and love letters from my kids and husband. And Scott repaired the pearl ring that he gave me for our first Christmas. Plus I picked out a lilac candle and a new welcome mat (I get ridiculously excited over things like that). We went to Luke's birthday party at the new Happy Joe's in Burlington and had one of my sister's amazing cakes. The cake had two layers, was green with icing grass and had worms hanging out of the side with a giant spider on top. We finished off the day with a swim and hot tub at the hotel. The kids were so relaxed... so lovely. Noah is singing quietly singing, " Row, Row Row Your Boat" while the others are falling asleep to River Monsters now, one of their favorite shows.

I'm looking forward to the morning because we are taking the whole day off from school and making it a vacation day
