Today I had an ultrasound on my neck for my gigantic lymph nodes. Of course I'm terrified and googling all the things that it could be. But they are really bothering me! I hope it gets better soon!
Then I stopped over to see my Nana at her place. I got a bonus and got to see my Aunt Ruth and Aunt Becky. My Aunt Ruth told me that she is the oldest person with Cystic Fibrosis in the world! Wow. She's amazing! Next I had a barn meeting and then time with the family. I'm glad to start the weekend. I could really use the rest!
Today we were featured in the Iowa Life Section of the Des Moines Register for Earth Day, so that was fun. It had a picture of our whole family.

All in all an interesting day.

That your aunt is the oldest living person with CF is amazing. I grew up with a boy who had CF, and they tried to educate us about his condition. The talks were always ended with the fact that he wasn't expected to live much longer than his teens.
Although he's no longer with us (may his memory be eternal), he lived into his 30s, was married and had a family, which was so much more than he was ever led to expect from his life. Modern medicine is truly amazing, but sometimes I think it sells the sheer determination of spirit a little short.
